8-week MBSR course in Derby

What is an 8-week Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) course/programme? 

The most frequently applied mindfulness training is the 8-week Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR). This training has been created by Professor Jon Kabat-Zinn from the University of Massachusetts.

It is designed to help participants learn new ways of handling difficult physical sensations, feelings and moods. The training enables participants to see things differently, undoing mental and physical knots and tensions. It can increase our sense of personal confidence, of having more options and more strength to face the different challenges in our lives.

Participants undertake to do between 40 and 30 minutes of home practice each day for six days of each week that the course runs.

DATES: 

Sessions on Mondays from 18/05 (18:00 – 20:30)  – 8 sessions + 1 day of mindfulness

Day of Mindfulness: TBC (10:00 – 17:00) – if you can’t join us on Saturday, come to the next Day of Mindfulness. You can also repeat this experience as many times as you wish (in case of repeating ‘4 pound biscuit fee applies’).

VENUE: 659 – 661 London Road, DE24 8UQ Derby

PRICE: £220 per person which includes all classes, an initial orientation (or an individual meeting face-to-face/Skype), CDs and workbook to support your practice. You can pay in instalments.

Cancellation Policy: All Costs less £20 admin charge, is refundable if cancelled by May 1st.

The organisers reserves the right to cancel any workshop or training due to under enrollment or unforeseen circumstances.  In this case we fully reimburse all paid participants.
